Gene Kelly
Eugene Curran Kelly was born on August 23, 1912 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Gene Kelly was an American dancer, actor of film, stage and television, film director, singer, producer, and a choreographer. Kelly blended solo dancing, off beat camera angles, and mass movement in order to visually tell a story. He is known for his energetic and athletic dancing style, likeable characters that he played on screen, and his hit lead role in “Singin’ in the Rain.” (1952)
Gene Kelly died at age 83 of complications from two strokes on February 2, 1996 in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California.
